The Origin of "The Dance Floor in Winter"
The original singer is Gao Lingfeng.
Gao Lingfeng (February 28, 1950 - February 17, 2014), born in a military family in Gaoshan Town, Kaohsiung County (now Gangshan District of Kaohsiung City), was a Taiwanese rock singer, actor, and host.
In 1969, he formed his first band. In 1974, he signed with Geolin Records and released his first Mandarin album "Girlfriend". His silver screen debut "Scissors and Wind" followed in 1975. But his classic song "The Dance Floor in Winter" became a hit in 1982.

Gao Lingfeng not only sang but also hosted various variety shows. In 1974, he signed with Geolin Records and rose to fame with the release of his album "Girlfriend". He hosted shows like "Mini, Mini", "Youth Song", and "Sunshine, Green Fields, Soundstage". In 1981, he left Geolin Records to found Zongyi Records and cultivate new talents like Huang Zhongkun, Yang Fan, and Shen Yan. He also hosted "Lingfeng Sings" which won the Golden Bell Award for Best Variety Show that year. After a business failure in 1988-1991 and a temporary departure from the music scene, he found solace in Buddhism. Since 2002, he has returned to hosting various variety shows.
